Tom’s BVI story began in 1987 when, as two year old, he arrived in the BVI with his adventurous parents aboard a monohull from England. Intending to pass through the BVI on their way to sail around the world, his family was enchanted by the crystal blue waters and warm trade winds and decided to stay. Settling in Tortola's West End, Tom’s parents opened one of the first day sail business in the territory and planted the seeds of a lifelong maritime legacy.
Growing up, Tom and his family lived aboard their monohull and by an early age Tom was sailing, surfing and diving. This daily exposure to the water fostered a huge appreciation, respect and love of the ocean, which he now shares with his young children.
Whether he is guiding you to a secret cove, taking you to the best snorkeling reef or pouring you a tasty Painkiller, Tom’s passion and wealth of knowledge of the islands is sure to elevate your BVI experience and make your trip memorable.
