A Lifetime on the Horizon
Tom’s BVI story began in 1987 when, as a two-year-old, he arrived in the islands with his adventurous parents aboard a monohull from England. While his family intended to simply pass through on a voyage around the world, they were enchanted by the crystal blue waters and warm trade winds. They chose to drop anchor for good, settling in Tortola's West End and opening one of the first day-sail businesses in the territory.
Raised by the Trade Winds
Growing up, Tom and his family lived aboard their monohull, and from an early age, the ocean was his backyard. By the time most kids were starting school, Tom was already sailing, surfing, and diving. This daily exposure fostered a deep appreciation, respect, and love for the ocean—a passion he now shares with his own young children.
Whether he is guiding you to a secret cove, navigating to the BVI’s most vibrant snorkeling reefs, or pouring you a perfectly crafted Painkiller, Tom’s wealth of local knowledge is unmatched. His mission is simple: to share the islands he calls home and ensure your time on Top Knotch is the highlight of your journey.
